Application Engineer

Selectek is partnering with a firm in Abilene, Texas to hire an Application Engineer on a direct hire basis. Candidates will select components and size instrumentation / control items for a company that specializes in oil & gas piping projects.

Expected Pay Range : $90,000-$110,000 annual salary

Location : Abilene, TX Schedule : Monday-Friday, normal workday hours

Job Requirements :

Minimum of two years of experience
Experience with P&IDs, piping schedules
Knowledge of applicable hardware including valves, flanges, fittings and instruments

Job Duties :

Estimate costs for incoming quotes regarding pressure vessels, piping, skids, and controls / instruments

Provide complete mechanical design for vessels and piping systems

Select components based P&IDs and customer spec sheets

Conduct Material take offs

Develop valve and instrument lists based off of the PFD and P&ID
