Position Overview
Full‑time Behavioral Health Clinical Director responsible for the day‑to‑day clinical operations of the state‑licensed Behavioral Health Services (BH) Department, ensuring quality clinical service with cultural relevance, diversity, equity and inclusion, within a whole‑person integrated care framework, and compliance with state, federal, county and contract requirements.

Plan, organize, and direct core mental‑health clinical service operations of the BH department.Ensure clinical program requirements, goals, and standards as a state‑licensed outpatient service provider and King County credentialed provider are met.Integrate cultural relevance, diversity, equity and inclusion into clinical operations.Collaborate with the Department Director, Special Programs Director, and staff on strategic planning for quality whole‑person, whole‑health integrated BH service to A&NH / PI community members.Work with the Department Director, Clinical Supervisors, and Special Programs Director to promote financial health, including budgeting and revenue management.Supervise, train, and provide clinical and administrative support to BH clinical supervisors, intake coordinators, and other staff; enforce agency policies, conduct performance reviews, participate in hiring / firing, and resolve staff complaints.Develop and coordinate core BH staff training, new staff orientation, state, county, contract‑required training, clinical, and cultural competency training.Lead quality assurance to improve outcomes, workflows, and processes; support staff and perform mental‑health treatment, crisis intervention, and clinical consultation.Represent the Behavioral Health department at King County and other system meetings; provide educational training or consultation to community partners, schools, or institutions.Attend agency, program, and team meetings, in‑service trainings, and supervision.Position Qualifications
Education and Experience :
Master’s degree in Social Work, Social or Behavioral Sciences with a minority mental health specialization designation and a minimum of three (3) years of clinical supervision experience.Experience with individuals with chronic mental illness and A&NH / PI communities.Registered / licensed per WAC requirements; minimum five (5) years of mental‑health service experience with populations with long‑term mental illness.Knowledge and Skills :
Strong written and oral communication skills.Effective, respectful quality care and services responsive to diverse cultural beliefs and practices; fluency in A&NH / PI language preferred.Team‑member abilities; high judgment and organization of multiple priorities.Knowledge of clinical supervision, case management, program development and administration; theory, practice, and principles in mental / emotional illness, social determinants of health, community support model, trends, bicultural interviewing and teaching techniques.Technical Skills :
Proficient personal computer use; competency in Microsoft Office and related software; efficient internet research and task performance.Physical Demands and Working Conditions
The position requires regular mobility within the office, may involve sitting for extended periods, handling objects / tools, and lifting up to 20 pounds. The role is hybrid : ~40% on‑site, 60% remote. Noise level moderate.
