Emergency Department Nurse - Contract Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days 12 (10 : 45 AM - 11 : 15 PM). Weekends : Every other or 3 per month depending on needs. Holiday : None.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our team. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working effectively with a team, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Document patient interactions and progress in real-time.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Three (3) years of recent Emergency Department experience required.
  • BSN required.
  • Travel experience is required (completed at least one contract assignment).
  • High volume / fast pace experience preferred.
  • Active NJ License / Compact required.
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required (pending certifications or those that expire within 30 days of submission are NOT accepted).
