UX Designer

The Role :

The FAMS UX Design Team is looking for an experienced User Experience Designer (UXD) to join our growing team. You will craft outstanding and intuitive user experiences for applications providing investment tools for Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Analysts, and Quant Researchers. As a champion of user-centered design, you will lead the definition of design work and deliver business outcomes across multiple teams with minimal guidance. You’ll partner with squad leaders to inform product strategy and collaborate with development teams to ensure consistent user experiences. Your focus will be to solve problems compassionately, always considering the user’s perspective, and create designs that are clean, simple, and elegant, aligning with user, business, and stakeholder objectives.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring :

Bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences, Human-Centered Design, or a related field with 7+ years of UXD experience
Experience working on agile teams delivering user experiences across various communication channels
Expertise in design and prototyping tools such as FIGMA
Experience conducting usability tests and applying research to support design decisions
Expertise in delivering end-to-end user experience designs focusing on entire user journeys and interactions
Ability to create and maintain interactive design deliverables like wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and iterate upon multiple ideas
Partner closely with business and technology teams to find practical design solutions
Focus on human-centered designs addressing user needs, business objectives, and technical capabilities

Analyze user workflows and solve UI challenges effectively

Organize information structures and translate business requirements into digital experiences

Communicate effectively with verbal and written skills, and present to groups

The Team :

You will collaborate with the FAMS Investment Product Area Leader, Investment Architects, Squad Leads, Scrum Masters, and Technical Leaders. Your work will support the Institutional business in Fidelity Asset Management Solutions (FAMS) by enhancing existing processes and developing new capabilities to meet growing demand from Fidelity’s institutional clients.
