Job Summary / Basic Function
The Admissions Coordinator supports the university's recruitment and enrollment goals by managing admissions processes, communicating with prospective students, and ensuring timely, accurate handling of applicant materials. This role serves as a primary point of contact for applicants and plays a key part in delivering a smooth, customer-focused admissions experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program Coordinator to work in Wilberforce, OH office
- The Admissions Coordinator provides administrative support to faculty and acts as a liaison between faculty, students, and other universities
- This position assists in the monitoring, processing, and reporting of student applications
- Works closely with students to continuously evaluate their learning experience and improve quality and value of the program
- Registers students for courses using University procedures and systems
- Acts as an academic advisor for students in the program and as a career advisor for prospective and continuing students
- Develops strategic partnerships with external entities and organizations
- Creates monthly budget reports to ensure operations are within plan
- Assists with database maintenance and enrollment management
- Ensures administrative processes and associated forms for instructor services are completed in a timely manner
- Responds to various instructor requests and telephone, email, and internet submissions for all programs
- Prepares faculty payroll for the program
- Plans and participates in open houses / orientation for the department
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets
- The Admissions Coordinator provides general support for the day-to-day operations of the Admissions Office
- Moreover, the incumbent assists with the development, organization, and execution of Admissions programs to achieve its mission, goals, and objectives
- An employee in this position demonstrates familiarity with university policies and procedures and ensures compliance
- Use established systems and tools proficiently to execute established admission policies and procedures
- Assist in the recruitment of students to Central State University
- The key role of Admissions Coordinator is to engage and on-board new students
- Assist in processing applications to Central State University
- The Admissions Coordinator is typically the first contact a prospective student has with the university
- As the student's first contact, Admissions Coordinators play a critical role in ensuring the new student's successful transition and integration into their respective programs
- Admissions Coordinators are responsible for acquiring, processing, and enrolling qualified candidates to CSU
- Establish and maintain a pipeline of candidates to the university
- Required to assist processing department in completing the enrollment process
- Make outbound calls to prospective candidates
- Set appointments for in-person interviews for likely prospects
- Provide overview of CSU and available programs
- Follow-up with candidate prospects on- general questions, enrollment, financial aid documentation, registration, orientation, and class
- Perform administrative processing functions including development of the student's permanent records, completing and / or assisting students with required forms
- Ensure file is complete when transitioning to Financial Aid and Academic departments
- Ensure readiness for orientation
- Coordinate with Financial Aid Administrators, when necessary
- Learn curriculum and new program offerings
- Support Slate Dean and processing department as needed
