About The Position

Job Title : Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Hours per Shift : Friday / Saturday 11 PM-7 AM, Monday 8 AM-12 noon, Tuesday / Thursday 7 : 30 AM-4 PM

Experience : 2 years current CT / X-Ray experience, previous travel required (at least 6 months)

License : Massachusetts

Certifications : ARRT, BLS (AHA)

Must-Have : Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred

Description :

This is a CT / X-Ray Tech position.

Primarily, CT will be needed for this posting, but X-Ray experience is also required.

Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and critical thinking.

Initiative is required to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis.

May be assigned independent responsibilities by the Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or Facility Director.

Proper care of the client in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required.

May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by the Manager or Director.

Excellent communication skills in written, verbal, and digital formats are required.

Practice infection control in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and standards.

Maintain patient confidentiality.

Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.

Demonstrate the ability to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACS applications.

Complete annual mandatory education, including blood-borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.

Maintain department competencies as required.

The technologist will be required to perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks, including IV insertion and injections.

It is essential that the traveler has their own vehicle for this position.

Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted.

No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted.

Travelers must be willing to consider other duties on assignment during low census within the scope of practice.

At least two specific interview dates / times of availability for an interview must be provided.
