WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a Test Engineer II in the Footwear Lab for our shoe client. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You’ll perform standard materials and mechanical tests, review and analyze data, and prepare reports to share with cross-functional teams. You’ll also support senior engineers on testing projects, provide training in your area of expertise, and recommend improvements to testing protocols or equipment that boost accuracy and efficiency.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You’ll collaborate with product creation teams to ensure the quality of our shoe client’s footwear. Within the lab, you’ll be part of a 15-person team, working directly with a 5-person group on this specific project. The management style is very hands-off, giving you the freedom to own your work.

NOT Looking For :

Biomechanists or people testing

Software engineers

  • MUST be local to WHQ - this role is on campus 5 days a week, M-F 8-5

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in test design, data collection, data analysis, and / or equipment design is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skill with an ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audience required.
  • Experience with product and materials testing is required.
  • Experience with statistical analysis of data required
  • Basic knowledge of biomechanics and / or CAD would be a plus
  • Ability to travel occasionally (5%)

    • Nice to Have :

    Footwear or apparel testing in a lab with with machines

    Mechanical Engineering background

    Go getter, take initiative, very independent role
