About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial and Administration Officer (CFAO) to join its leadership team. This pivotal role is focused on shaping the financial strategy and sustainability of the organization, which is dedicated to increasing equity and opportunity outcomes for children. The CFAO will be a strategic partner to the CEO, providing financial and administrative leadership across all operations. Key responsibilities include overseeing finance, human resources, IT, and facilities, ensuring fiscal health, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability. The successful candidate will lead financial management, strategic planning, compliance, and risk management, and will also be involved in human resources, IT, and facilities management. Applicants for the CFAO position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Chief Financial Officer, with a proven track record in managing organizational budgets of $30 million or more. Experience in nonprofit management, particularly in complex structures and with federal compliance, is essential. The role requires a leader with a strong understanding of 501(c)(3) compliance, financial systems implementation, and change management. A CPA certification is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a background in national and local organizational structures, experience in both growth and contraction phases, and the ability to work effectively in remote or hybrid environments.
