The Corporate Security Manager is responsible for managing physical security operations across our facilities in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Panama. This role is responsible for the strategic implementation and management of security policies, procedures, and systems to ensure the safety of employees, visitors, assets, and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate would have a strong background in corporate security, extensive experience managing physical security operations, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Regional Oversight
Manage and coordinate security operations in the North America region (Canada, the US, Panama, the Caribbean).
Risk Assessment and Mitigation
Manage and execute physical security threat and vulnerability assessments and mitigation strategies.
Assist in identifying current exposures and / or opportunities and make appropriate recommendations to improve security posture.
Work with security analysts to identify trends and best practices to help proactively address security risks across the FBO network.
Policy Development
Establish and enforce security standards, policies, and procedures in alignment with global security strategy and regional regulatory requirements.
Incident Management
Physical and regulatory security incident, investigation, and case management.
Conduct investigations, recommend immediate and long-term corrective actions, and ensure compliance. Includes investigations involving potential regulatory violations; TSA, FAA, and other equivalent country-specific regulatory authorities.
Security Systems
Management of access control, CCTV, perimeter intrusion detection, and other physical security technologies and systems.
Assist in the development and implementation of policy and procedures for these systems.
Vendor Management
Assist in the establishment and management of relationships with third-party security providers, including contract security staff, integrators, and equipment vendors.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely and interface with internal leaders of Facilities and Construction, HR, Legal, IT, Airport and Government relations, and other pertinent departments to align security initiatives with business objectives.
Compliance & Auditing
Ensure all sites comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and industry standards (., Airport, TSA, FAA).
Manage and oversee all TSA-regulated programs at Signature, working to centralize oversight and ensure consistent execution and compliance across all applicable FBO locations, including any AOSSP, PCSSP, DASSP, and FBOSSP operations at those locations.
Communication & Training
Manage internal field security communications, including security alerts and notices, informative / training bulletins, and other frontline staff security communications to promote and uphold a strong security culture.
Minimum Education and / or Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Management, Emergency Management, Aviation Management, or a similar field of study.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate / physical security operations, including 2 years in a regional or multi-site leadership role.
Minimum 2 years of aviation / airline / airport operations-related experience, preferably in a security role, but not required.
Additional knowledge and skills :
Familiarity with US aviation security regulations, such as 49 CFR Parts 1540, 1542, and 1544, AOSSP, PCSSP, DASSP, FBOSSP, etc. Canada, Panama, and the Caribbean region equivalent regulation knowledge is a significant plus.
Strong and demonstrable knowledge of physical security technologies and systems.
Strong and demonstrable knowledge of incident management, investigative techniques, and audit / inspection strategies.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience working in a multinational or enterprise-scale environment.
Proven leadership, project management, and crisis management capabilities.
Ability to travel regionally (20–30%) as needed.
