The City of Inver Grove Heights is seeking an experienced and capable professional for its communications specialist position. Creativity, strong project management capabilities, the ability to use critical thinking skills, to practice sound judgement and to work independently are essential to success in this role. Position is responsible for supporting the communication and marketing efforts of all City departments, citywide programs, initiatives, and events, with a focus on social media, publications, and the City website. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, English or a closely related field and 3 years of experience in organizational communications or marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the work. Advanced knowledge and proficiency in social media platforms is required. A valid driver's license and the ability to attend events, as assigned. Comprehensive benefits.
