Bachelor’s degree and two years office administration or project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience Other Qualifications To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for current JSOM students who visit the office, call, or email. Provide accurate information and make appropriate referrals as needed. Manage the Advising email inbox by responding to basic inquiries or directing messages to the correct advisor or relevant UTD / JSOM department.
Efficiently handle a high volume of student interactions. Provide administrative support to the office by managing advising-related paperwork, scheduling appointments, and maintaining student records. Assist in training new front-desk staff and help oversee student workers. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Physical Activities Working Conditions Additional Information Remote Work Notice
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly). Employee must be located within the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and / or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
