Full-time hours\n\t No holidays, no weekends, no on-call\n\t Monday - Friday, Typically 6 : 30 AM - 3 PM (hours can vary)\n\t The hourly rate is based on experience level\n The Surgical Scrub Technician (or Certified Surgical Scrub Technician) is a member of the surgical team who works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other surgical staff to deliver high-quality patient care\n\t The technician assumes appropriate responsibilities before, during, and after surgical procedures\n Demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures and the scrub techs role in performing these procedures\n\t Demonstrates knowledge of surgical equipment and its use in the operating room\n\t Demonstrates understanding of a surgical scrub technicians duties before, during, and after each surgical case\n\t Assembles supplies, instruments, and equipment for scheduled procedures according to physicians preference cards\n\t Attends all required safety training programs and can describe responsibilities related to general safety, center / service safety, and specific job-related hazards\n\t Correctly uses, cares for, cleans, and sterilizes instruments, supplies, and equipment as directed\n\t Assists in maintaining adequate operating room supplies for immediate use during procedures and assists with storing and restocking as needed\n\t Maintains and updates instrument cards, tray lists, and surgeons preference cards regularly\n\t Follows the centers exposure control plan, including bloodborne and airborne pathogen protocols\n\t Reports observed or suspected breaks in sterile technique and responds according to policy\n\t Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional and courteous environment\n\t Promotes effective working relationships and collaboration among staff to support the centers goals and objectives\n\t Maintains accurate documentation related to sterilization records, cleaning forms, logs, and related documentation\n\t Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned\n Quality : Accuracy, thoroughness, and neatness of work\n\t Productivity : Produces a significant volume of work efficiently in the time allotted\n\t Job Knowledge : Demonstrates the practical and technical knowledge required for the position, as evidenced by annual competency assessments\n\t Reliability : Consistently completes tasks and follows through appropriately\n\t Attendance : Maintains punctuality and acceptable attendance, adhering to break and meal schedules\n\t Independence : Performs work with minimal supervision\n\t Creativity : Proposes ideas and identifies improved methods or processes\n\t Initiative : Seeks out new assignments and assumes additional duties as needed\n\t Adherence to Policy : Follows safety, compliance, risk, infection control, and other applicable policies and regulations\n\t Interpersonal Relationships : Demonstrates cooperation, communication, and teamwork with coworkers, supervisors, and external contacts\n\t Judgment : Exercises sound decision-making and problem-solving skills when necessary\n Medical benefits 401k retirement plan
