100% on-site near Andover Job Description Participate in the development of embedded firmware architecture and code optimized for controlling families of chip power components. Work alongside Analog Engineers to generate control algorithms and firmware solutions for power supply platforms. Respond to change requests and bug fixes by viewing scope traces and other hardware-oriented evidence. Define processes, methods and tools for developing power converter control algorithms that can be used across chip product families. Incorporate product and manufacturing requirements into firmware design. Perform design tradeoffs, evaluation, and selection of microcontrollers to meet performance and cost goals. Analyze requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates, and work with the team to meet schedule milestones. Mentor power supply hardware engineers on how to contribute to firmware development projects. Ensure the use of formal development methods and application of best practices in developing standard code modules for chip products. Participate in the development in requirements and design specifications Participate in unit testing and other V&V activities Education / Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. M.S. degree preferred. 5+ years' experience with embedded firmware development, microprocessors / microcontrollers, and software / hardware debugging. Proficient in C-language and Assembly Language programming Ability to execute and deliver against tight time schedules. Strong team player with ability to collaborate across functional areas such as engineering, marketing and manufacturing organizations. Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Organized, thorough, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills. Prior power supply design and test experience a big plus Experience with Simulink,StateFlow, MS DevStudio and ARM Cortex M0 a plus.
