Senior Business Systems Analyst

Our client is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join their team in supporting enterprise-wide initiatives across multiple departments. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to collaborate across diverse teams, and a balance of independent problem-solving with structured communication. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in working within agile environments while mentoring others and driving continuous improvement.

This role is fully remote.

Senior Business Systems Analyst  Responsibilities

  • Partner with vendors, project managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to gather, document, and manage business and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate meetings, organize virtual sessions, and manage structured communications to support project objectives.
  • Create user stories, workflows, mapping documents, mockups, and supporting documentation for business and system processes.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop and execute test plans, test cases, and data scenarios; report and resolve defects.
  • Contribute to agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives) while ensuring commitments are met each sprint.
  • Mentor peers in best practices for analysis, documentation, communication, and presentation.
  • Troubleshoot reports, SQL queries, extracts, and system issues to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Support innovation by recommending improvements to processes, policies, and technical practices.
  • Provide after-hours or on-call support as required.

Senior Business Systems Analyst  Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis within a complex, highly regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to elicit, analyze, and document requirements using structured methods.
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and tools such as TFS or similar platforms.
  • Skilled in creating test scripts, acceptance criteria, and other quality assurance documentation.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to mentor others and tailor communication to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve functional, procedural, and interpersonal challenges in a collaborative manner.
  • Familiarity with process improvement, change management, and continuous delivery principles.

    • Compensation : $36-$55 / hr. (DOE)
