About the Role

As a Control Panel Builder, you'll assemble and wire industrial control panels according to engineering specifications. You'll work with hand tools, power tools, wiring schematics, and mechanical drawings to produce high-quality panels that power automation systems in industries across Utah and beyond.

Location : West Jordan, UT

Shift : Monday-Thursday

Days : 6 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Swings : 3 : 30 PM - 2 : 00 AM

Pay : $20.00-$25.00 per hour DOE + $3.00 / hr shift differential for swings

Responsibilities :

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions
  • Cut, strip, crimp, and route wire (26 AWG ? 12 AWG) accurately
  • Assemble and wire electrical components including relays, switches, breakers, etc.
  • Use hand and power tools to fasten components and modify panel enclosures
  • Lay out device mounting on back panels
  • Perform rework and corrections based on QC feedback
  • Assist in quality testing to ensure panels meet all engineering and functional specs
  • Working hours : 6 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

    Skills :

  • Familiarity with industrial automation systems and electrical components
  • Experience assembling or wiring panels, control boxes, or similar equipment
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to follow diagrams precisely
  • Comfortable using hand tools, torque drivers, wire crimpers, and other shop tools
  • Any HVAC, shop, or general manufacturing background is a plus
  • Education : Trade

    Experience : 1-4 years

    Qualifications :

  • Strong electrical knowledge and experience working with electrical components
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to read and follow technical documents (bonus if you can read schematics!)
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Standing, bending, and repetitive hand motions
  • Visual acuity for wiring and inspection
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment with varying temperatures
