About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive compliance program for its regional hospice business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the business understand and adhere to compliance obligations, as well as all relevant laws, rules, and regulations. This role involves conducting risk assessments, leading HIPAA privacy compliance, and managing a Board-level Compliance Committee. The Chief Compliance Officer will also be a subject matter expert, maintain a deep understanding of applicable laws and regulations, and oversee all compliance-related investigations and reporting.
Applicants for the Chief Compliance Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with a JD being desirable. The role requires several years of senior-level hospice compliance experience, with a preference for those who have worked with Medicare Administrative Contractors. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to building and improving compliance, ethics, and privacy programs, and may have exposure to managing compliance for private equity-owned businesses. Key qualifications include the ability to lead change management, work collaboratively with C-level functions and key stakeholders, and ensure that the business is in compliance with all federal and state healthcare program requirements.
