Preschool Child Care Lead Teacher

Bethesda Country Day School is seeking a creative and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team of dedicated educators! Our preschool program provides a balance of learning and play, helping children build the academic and social skills that prepare them for Pre-K and beyond. As a Preschool Teacher , you’ll inspire curiosity, nurture confidence, and create meaningful learning experiences that make every day exciting and purposeful for young learners. What You’ll Do : Design and deliver engaging lessons that promote exploration, early literacy, and critical thinking. Encourage independence and collaboration through hands-on, play-based learning. Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families. Partner with fellow teachers and school leaders to create a warm, inclusive classroom environment. Support the school community through teamwork, creativity, and a shared passion for excellence. Hours : 9am-6pm (non-negotiable) Qualifications Requirements : Personnel Qualification Evaluation (PQE) w / supporting documents Child Development Associate (CDA) HS diploma or Degree (Associate or Bachelor) Need diploma / certificate and / or transcripts If documents are foreign, they must be translated, notarized, and evaluated by Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or World Education Services (WES) If documents are foreign but in English Language, they must be evaluated by Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or World Education Services (WES) If degree is not in Early Childhood Education, but has completed the ECE 90-hr, with 1-yr experience, they might qualify. Early Childhood Education (ECE) 90-hr Preschool, or 90-hr School Age, or both 9-hr Communication (of college course) American with Disabilities Act Training (ADA) 2-years of work experience (at least 1-yr) Letter of work experience must note : Start / End Date, hours per week, ages of children.
