Job Title : Network Architect

Location : Remote

Contract Duration : 6 Months (Possible Extension)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Architect to join our team on a 6-month remote contract. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of complex network systems, strong experience designing and documenting network architecture, and a proven ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Interface with customer IT leadership and internal stakeholders to plan, design, and develop secure, scalable network and systems solutions.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into network architecture and design documents.
  • Create detailed and clear technical documentation including network diagrams, planning guides, and implementation procedures.
  • Analyze system / network performance metrics and recommend improvements for optimization.
  • Propose and implement system enhancements (e.g., software / hardware upgrades) to improve system reliability and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in network design and operations.
  • Maintain and update all design, procedural, and lessons-learned documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Expert-level knowledge of network architectures, protocols, and services , including but not limited to :
  • BGP, MPLS, TCP / IP, IPsec, VLANs, VPNs
  • Extensive experience designing and deploying enterprise-level networks .
  • Strong documentation skills and proficiency in creating architectural diagrams (e.g., using Visio or Lucidchart).
  • Proven experience in evaluating and implementing system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent .
  • Experience in hybrid or cloud-connected network environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.) is a plus.
