Primary responsibilities of our patient coordinators
Greet patients and their families making them feel welcome in the practiceGather patient information, create their files, and verify insurance eligibilityMaintain a productive schedule for the day and schedule future appointmentsConfirm patient appointments and update the schedule as neededAnswer patient questions about insurance and financial arrangementsCollect and post payments from patients and insurance companiesComplete all administrative tasks accurately and timelyQualifications to join us as a patient coordinator
High school diploma required, a degree or additional education in a business or healthcare discipline preferredMinimum of two (2) years' experience in a dental, medical, healthcare, or customer service environmentKnowledge of dental insurance and explanation of benefits preferredExcellent communication skills with both the team and patientsProficient with Microsoft Office products. Experience with dental software preferredCurrent CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 daysAn equal opportunity employer and an advocate for diversity and inclusion
