The Boe ing Company is currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer DevSecOps to support our Space Ba ttle M anagement Command and Control (S BMC2 ) te am l o ca ted in Colorado Springs Colorado. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.

The ideal candidate will specializ e in DevSecOps to support the CI / CD pipeline development effort under the Rocknet Software Development Services (SDS) Program. This role will focus on the architecture sustainment and expansion of pipelines and other technical solutions for a classified network.

The selected individual will architect develop document and maintain standardized efficient and innovative processes tools methodologies and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle. This includes enabling continuous integration delivery and deployment of safety-critical software. The engineer will automate develop monitor improve and troubleshoot across software engineering development tooling testing deployment configuration processes and security controls.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to build and maintain robust scalable and secure software engineering systems while also analyzing planning and executing mitigation strategies to prevent potential security risks threats and vulnerabilities. Additionally this position requires communication with customers and end users to elicit needs and requirements and architect compliant solutions while leading the team in implementing these concepts.

Position Responsibilities :

Implements an environment that enables high levels of quality safety compliance and continuous improvement across the organization

Collaborates with cross functional teams to build and maintain robust scalable and secure software engineering systems

Consults on current and emerging technologies tools frameworks and regulations in the software engineering DevSecOps environment

Advises on automation development monitoring improvement and troubleshooting across software development tooling testing integration deployment configuration processes and security controls

Oversees development documentation and maintenance of standardized efficient and innovative processes tools methodologies and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle and enable continuous integration delivery and deployment of safety critical software

Oversees analyses planning and execution of mitigation strategies to prevent potential security risks threats and vulnerabilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

1 0 years of related work experience in software engineering DevSecOps or a related field

5 years of experience with cloud environments (AWS and Azure ) and Dev SecOps practices

5 years of Experience with CI / CD tools and methodologies including Git Docker and Kubernetes

3 years of lead ing technical teams and mentor junior engineers

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in computer science e ngineering or a related technical field

Proficiency in programming languages such as C C# Java and Python

Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices including risk management frameworks

Experience with Distributive Interactive Simulation (DIS) standards and operator-in-the-loop real-time simulation

Familiarity with software security posture in proprietary areas

Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and working in a customer-facing role

Knowledge of tools such as Jira Confluence Grafana and Prometheus
