Job Description : You will be responsible for full-stack hardware development for complex modules and small systems. This role spans the entire product lifecycle—starting from concept development through detailed design, analysis, layout, build, test, and delivery—with hands-on involvement at every stage. Key Responsibilities : Hardware Design & Development Own end-to-end design of complex electronic modules and small systems, from concept and architecture through schematic design, PCB layout, testing, and production. Focus on digital and mixed-signal hardware development for space applications. Contribute to product lines including : Software-defined radios (SDRs) Single-board computers (SBCs) Control and telemetry subsystems for phased array antenna payloads Leadership & Architectur Lead small teams of hardware engineers in the development of new products involving multiple electronics modules. Develop hardware architecture and write hardware requirements for moderately complex systems. Schematic & Layout Perform detailed schematic design for complex boards, covering both major components and supporting passives. Execute detailed PCB layout in Altium Designer, often collaborating with a dedicated PCB Designer. Analysis & Validation Conduct board-level and box-level analyses, including : Worst-case circuit analysis Signal integrity (SI) analysis Power integrity (PI) analysis Guide interpretation and application of analysis results. Create bring-up and design verification plans for new hardware and systems. Perform hardware bring-up and key verification testing for modules and integrated systems, often working with technicians. Production Support Release modules and assemblies to production. Collaborate with Manufacturing and Test Engineering teams to ensure successful deployment. Required Qualifications : Bachelor of Science (BS) or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Minimum of 6 years of experience in board-level electronics design, analysis, and testing. Demonstrated experience designing electronics with rigor in environments that value thorough analysis and testing. Expertise in digital and mixed-signal electronics, including : Signal integrity FPGA implementation ADC / DAC integration Telemetry subsystem design Preferred Qualifications : Aerospace hardware design experience. Experience with high-speed digital systems (e.g., 10+ Gbps SerDes) and SDR applications. Experience owning the design phase of complex board-level electronics, including : Trade studies Key part selection Detailed design Proven success delivering hardware designs through production and deployment. Expertise in PCB layout, including HDI stackup design and high-speed routing. Experience using SI / PI simulation tools (e.g., Ansys SIwave, ADS SIPro, Mentor HyperLynx). Expert-level proficiency with Altium Designer.
