We have an exciting opportunity for a Lighting Systems Lead to join the team with Intuitive Machines, a teammate company.
The Lighting Systems Lead will :
The Lighting System Lead will be supporting the Computer Human Interface for the Lighting System.
Lead SE&I efforts for the various support any Artemis human spaceflight programs Lighting system, ensuring alignment with architecture, design, and mission requirements.
Support Engineering flight project schedules, procurement documentation, budgets and system requirements documentation.
Develop and maintain requirements and verification data packages across the full system lifecycle.
Coordinate and conduct integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) activities.
Align system requirements with hardware specifications and verification strategies.
Facilitate the integration of the various support any Artemis human spaceflight programs Lighting system within the greater vehicle architecture through communication with other SMEs and system managers.
Provide user-centered feedback during design phases to optimize human-system interaction.
Interface with sub-system vendors to clearly express NASA expectations and evaluate design solutions.
Support ground and flight operations testing, including test plan development, oversight, evaluation, and documentation of end items.
Review verification and validation reports to ensure compliance with system requirements.
Participate in major program reviews : SRR, PDR, CDR, and others.
Perform and evaluate architecture trade studies and system-level analyses to inform system design.
Identify and manage risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Develop plans and procedures in support of flight crew and ground operators during all mission phases.
Provide engineering insight and operational awareness to Mission Control during all mission phases.
Present technical and schedule updates to internal and external customers.
Collaborate across disciplines in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Work with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responses
Work and present schedule and progress to customers
Perform other duties as required
