Director of Nursing ($5,000 Sign on Bonus) (Half Moon Bay)

Terraces at Los Altos, a distinguished HumanGood life plan community, is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) for its Health Center team. Under limited supervision, the DON plans, directs, organizes, and evaluates nursing services to meet the total needs of the community's residents; ensures an efficient health facility operation in cooperation with other departments and in compliance with state and federal regulations; and provides care in accordance with our Philosophy for Person-Directed Care.

$135K-$160K (DOE) plus performance-based incentives $5,000 sign-on bonus!

Essential duties and responsibilities of the DON include, but may not be limited to :

• Making daily rounds to observe residents and ensure that staffing levels meet residents' needs;
• Ensuring all appropriate and necessary nursing care is provided in the Skilled Nursing setting;
• Interacting with residents and families / responsible parties and staff; answers questions, gives directions and support;
• Directing admissions and discharges within the Health Center; coordinating with the acute hospital, assisted living, and independent living staff;
• Supervises nursing and management staff including scheduling, hiring, training, and evaluating; acts on team member concerns;
