Job Summary

The Medical Assistant Faculty position is a full-time 9-month faculty position in the Allied Health Department. ACC Faculty teach 15 credits each fall and spring semester. Faculty may have the option to teach courses during the summer semester for additional compensation. Courses may be taught using both traditional and non-traditional delivery methods including face-to-face online computer-aided distance learning self-paced and interdisciplinary. Faculty may need to teach at any ACC campus and at a variety of times (days evenings and some weekends).

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in related field; AND Current industry-recognized credential / certification such as CMA RMA NCMA or CCMA or LPN or RN; OR

Five years (full-time equivalent) non-teaching occupational experience in Medical Assisting 2 of those years must be in clinical general practice and 2 of those years must be within the last 5 years; AND Current industry-recognized credential / certification such as CMA RMA NCMA CCMA or LPN or RN

Medical Assisting or Science (with content area specific coursework) CMA RMA NCMA CCMA or LPN or RN

Salary Information :

The projected start date for this position is August 2026. The salary range for this position is $61940 to $77239 commensurate with education and experience. This salary is based on 166 contract days within an academic year (August to May). Salary will be pro-rated based on actual contract days worked. This is a full-time 9-month FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System. AP 3-55 provides information regarding salary placement and adjustments.
