Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist maintains Agency payroll functions, assuring that timesheet data are coded to correct grant and line item budget(s), that all employees withholding is correct, that payroll runs process properly and employees receive correct pay via check or ACH. All required payroll records are properly controlled and maintained. Promotes the efficient overall goals and operation of the Fiscal Department.

Minimum Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required of this position. EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

• 2 year certificate from college or technical school.
• 3-4 years progressive experience of full-charge responsibility for the payroll function for an entity, or for a set of customer accounts, or other responsibility which would demonstrate ability to perform essential functions.
• and / or training in accounting with related studies in business administration, business law, and common computer applications.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
