About the Role Mc3 Partners is recruiting for a Mechanical Superintendent to lead mission-critical data center projects for one of our clients.
This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex mechanical installations across multiple locations. Reno, NV / Denver, CO / Texas (Austin-San Antonio-Houston) / Phoenix, AZ / Portland, OR / Seattle, WA preferred, but can be remote anywhere in the central and western US.
This is a traveler role so you will need to be open to traveling up to 90+% to any location we have a business need.
As a Mechanical Superintendent, you will oversee all mechanical construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality.
This position requires flexibility for extensive travel and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise mechanical teams, including coordination with electrical teams and support specialists in data center environments.
Implement and enforce a culture of safety and quality across all job sites.
Manage mechanical subcontractors and field crews, ensuring compliance with project specifications and schedules.
Develop and maintain project sequencing plans, logistics, and resource tracking.
Monitor and update project schedules, communicating milestones to stakeholders.
Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing workforce.
Maintain professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
Participate in close-out activities including punch lists and operational training.
Demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills to overcome project challenges.
Qualifications 7–10 years of mechanical construction experience, with at least 3 years in a superintendent role.
Experience with mission-critical facilities or data centers required.
Expertise in liquid cooling systems, HVAC, and mechanical infrastructure for data centers.
Familiarity with construction processes including scheduling, contract administration, and safety regulations (OSHA).
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel extensively (up to 90%).
