Role Summary

This program is for currently enrolled undergraduate students. The deadline to apply is October 27, 2025.

Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to make an impact in the financial industry? As an intern on our Sustainable Research team at American Century Investments, you'll dive into our sustainable investing approach, collaborating with team members and connecting with various professionals throughout our organization. Your journey here will blend learning and hands-on experience through meaningful projects that support both our Sustainable Research team and investment teams.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Gain an understanding of how we integrate material sustainability / ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors into our investment processes.
• Conduct company-level research using our proprietary sustainable research platform to identify and assess material sustainability risks and opportunities.
• Contribute to stewardship campaigns passionate about key material sustainability-related topics such as water scarcity and human capital management.
• Analyze corporate governance matters at both individual company and macro industry levels.
• Gather data and develop reports, using Tableau or other data visualization tools, to generate insights to supplement our sustainability assessments.
• Conduct research related to our key sustainability themes (Health Care, Climate, Empowerment, Sustainable Living and Technological Advancement).
• Assist with ad hoc projects related to proxy voting and stewardship.
• Participate in engagements conducted with investee companies on sustainability-related topics.

Internship Structure

For New York based, the salary for this role is $25 / hour. Actual offers are based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate's location, skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training. This position is eligible for cash incentive providing the potential to earn more.

Additional Requirements

Employees are required to be in the office on a scheduled frequency. Adherence to this schedule is essential to fulfilling the expectations of the role.
