Job Description for Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Pediatric Complex Care of Arkansas is a privately owned Intermediate Care Facility specializing in the care and treatment of residents (birth – 21) with severe to profound developmental and medical complex needs. We are looking for an energetic, flexible, full licensure SLP or CFY professional to join our collaborative therapy team. You will provide classroom inclusive treatment and traditional one-on-one treatment in a combined school / medical environment. Enjoy the benefits of a flexible environment with consistent work hours and an on-site supervisor. At PCCA we focus on the whole child with a multidisciplinary team approach in the treatment process with no billing restraints.
We will consider applications for a part-time position.
Duties and Responsibilities for Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Review social history, psychological, medical, and previous therapy reports
- Administer appropriate tests and evaluate to determine an appropriate plan of care
- Develop appropriate goals / objectives and treatment plans for each client
- Complete daily, monthly, and annual documentation
- Coordinate care with other medical disciplines
- Evaluate patients for equipment and special feeding needs
- Collaborate with COTA (s)
Qualifications for Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology or CSD programPediatric experience preferredCurrent Arkansas Speech-Language Pathologist licenseCurrent ASHA Certificate of Clinical CompetenceGood understanding of aseptic techniques for infection controlExcellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skillsOrganizational and time management skillsAbility to multi-taskAbility to remain calm under stressMust be able to frequently bend, stoop, lift, reach, crouch, kneel, walk, push, pull, and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 40 lbs independentlyAbility to monitor and respond to medical equipment, interactions, distinguish smells and temperatures,
