Project Engineer

Location : Fremont, CA

Salary Range : $110-130k

Full-Time, Onsite

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee project status, enforce safety procedures, and manage high-risk tasks with precision.
Lead scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and change order audits
Mentor junior engineers and assign tasks strategically to maximize efficiency.
Facilitate client meetings and provide clear updates on project progress.
Monitor budgets, track project progress, and adjust plans to stay on target.
Maintain seamless communication with workers, subcontractors, vendors, and trades to ensure project success.
Leverage expertise in heavy civil construction, problem-solving, and plan / specification reviews.
Prepare estimates and bids, reviewing drawings and specifications to determine project scope.
Champion a zero-injury culture by proactively identifying hazards and enforcing safety protocols.

Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management / Engineering or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience

5-7 years experience in the construction industry

Expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and performance analysis.

Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Bluebeam, Excel, and Foundations.

Commitment to safety and quality, with a keen eye for identifying and mitigating risks.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to navigate complex project challenges.
