Project Engineer

Location : Fremont, CA

Salary Range : $110-130k

Full-Time, Onsite

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee project status, enforce safety procedures, and manage high-risk tasks with precision.
  • Lead scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and change order audits
  • Mentor junior engineers and assign tasks strategically to maximize efficiency.
  • Facilitate client meetings and provide clear updates on project progress.
  • Monitor budgets, track project progress, and adjust plans to stay on target.
  • Maintain seamless communication with workers, subcontractors, vendors, and trades to ensure project success.
  • Leverage expertise in heavy civil construction, problem-solving, and plan / specification reviews.
  • Prepare estimates and bids, reviewing drawings and specifications to determine project scope.
  • Champion a zero-injury culture by proactively identifying hazards and enforcing safety protocols.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management / Engineering or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience
  • 5-7 years experience in the construction industry
  • Expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and performance analysis.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Bluebeam, Excel, and Foundations.
  • Commitment to safety and quality, with a keen eye for identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to navigate complex project challenges.
