Summary of Position : We are seeking entry-level individuals who will thrive in a hybrid analyst / scientist / engineer role. You must be ready to learn genetics, bioinformatics, workflow, and system design. You will be analyzing clinical workflows, reviewing business operations, processing bioinformatics, and developing systems. You will be building enterprise solutions that connect every aspect of our organization from clinical services to data research. We accomplish this by focusing on the intersection of Computer Science and Laboratory Science.

Key Job Elements : We are the backbone of the company, and our team works closely with critical departments in the organization : Clinical Lab, Genetic Counseling, R&D, Bioinformatics, Client Services, Marketing, Sales, and Product Management. Our primary responsibility is to scale laboratory operations, grow product offerings, and augment laboratory capabilities through transformative technology. Our second responsibility is to have technical foresight and technical flexibility to accomplish the needs of the organization. Our collaborative team of 16 Computer Science experts share the same roles and responsibilities. We have established an admirable team culture that thrives on transparency and active learning. This team reports directly to the Principal Systems Architect, who reports to the COO, and then to the CEO, all of whom have degrees in Computer Science; this team works within three degrees from the top of the company.

We are seeking a full-time entry-level Solutions / Software Engineer to join our fast-growing team. We are an engineering-focused culture with multiple technical teams : Web Workflow Distributed Systems Bioinformatics and IT. Senior roles will be considered based on previous experience. We are the backbone of the company and work closely with other teams : Lab Genetic Scientists Research Client Services Marketing Sales and Management. You will be evaluating processes building solutions developing algorithms coordinating projects and managing genetic data. You are expected to show eagerness to learn about bioinformatics genetics and medical science to aid the diagnostic quest to improve the lives of patients around the world.

Knowledge / Experience :

• Minimum of a BA / BS in Computer Science Mathematics or Statistics (please note that candidates with only bootcamp completion will not be considered).
• Exceptional grasp of data analysis computer architecture computer science and mathematical principles.
• Proficiency in JavaScript HTML CSS Typescript Vue and SCSS.
• Experience with web development frameworks such as NodeJS ReactJS ExpressJS NestJS Bootstrap or equivalent.
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases including Oracle MySQL MS SQL Server or similar platforms.
• Competence in using VS Code or equivalent Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).
• Proficiency in GIT or comparable source code control systems.
• Familiarity with Linux and / or Mac OS.
• Enthusiasm for acquiring new skills in genetics bioinformatics and system design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues clients and vendors.
• Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently on development tasks and projects.
• Capable of comprehending and creating technical documentation and detailed diagrams.
• Ability to design workflows tailored to specific project requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
