About the Role

The Compliance Coordinator will work closely with internal teams and external third parties on audits and regulatory compliance matters. This role will be responsible for administering carrier audits and overseeing the sanction and screening process. The Compliance Coordinator will collaborate with business units to ensure that processes and procedures align with regulatory expectations. Responsibilities also include issue management and remediation, delivery of annual compliance training, tracking of consumer opt-outs, and supporting business units in responding to complaints.

The Day-to-Day

  • Act as the liaison for all third-party audit activities and provide guidance, support, and facilitation of audit requests to ensure a timely response to all audit inquiries.
  • Provide “run the business” support for the OFAC and sanctions screening process.
  • Lead issue management and remediation processes and collaborate with the business to ensure timely issue closure.
  • Act as a strategic partner by partnering with business units on compliance-related matters and ensuring processes and procedures align with regulatory expectations and requirements.
  • Partner with HR to ensure compliance training courses and materials are delivered.
  • Perform internal risk assessments specific to internal business units, and provide results and recommendations to leadership.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for consumer opt-out delivery and tracking, and ensure processes align with state requirements.
  • Perform marketing reviews to ensure regulatory adherence (e.g., UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, FTC).
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements :

  • Undergraduate degree or 2 or more years work experience in compliance and / or risk functions within financial services or insurance companies / institutions.
  • Ability to quickly learn business processes and functions and apply those to audits and other compliance requirements.
  • Able to handle confidential information with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written).
  • Sound understanding of statutes, rules, and regulations pertaining to businesses.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to solve problems with complete judgement with minimal supervision.
