Job Overview
The Supervisor Production will provide training, coaching, and guidance to functional hourly associates; ensure the proper execution of the daily work activities that drive quality, efficiency, safety, service, and cost performance in a manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for focusing on the current week; coordinating the application of performance tools and methodologies to enhance rapid, ongoing, measurable improvements; Day-to-Day Production team Operations as assigned; setting and communicating daily weekly, and monthly objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise, lead, and motivate a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, including quality and customer satisfaction; safety practices, and deadlines; engage and develop teammates through effective performance management, coaching, and training; implement continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus; embody company purpose and values to inspire servant leadershipCheck production output according to specifications, submit reports on performance and progress while identifying issues in efficiency and suggesting improvementsFacilitate cross-functional team meetings within an environment of trust and engagement and ensure the safe use of equipment and schedules regular maintenancePlan and manage resources and coordinates immediate resolutions to work process interruptions to meet period resultsTrain new employees on how to safely use machinery, follow procedures and continuously validate conformity and effectiveness to standard work practicesSet daily, weekly and monthly objectives and communicate these objectives to employeesMaintain staffing schedules and organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedulesKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Work experience in a Manufacturing Environment or Food or BeverageExperience supervising hourly associatesManufacturing machine experienceAble to demonstrate strong leadership capabilitiesFamiliar with HACCP, ISO Standards, Six Sigma, and Lean PrinciplesFamiliarity with Microsoft Office, SAP, CONA, SharePoint, PHRED, Kronos, and Livelink is a plusMust be able to lift at least 25 lbs., stand on feet for prolonged periods and climb stairs as neededDetail-oriented and capable of mentally retaining details of eventsMinimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GEDKnowledge acquired through 3 years or more work experiencePreferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain; Business Administration or related fieldKnowledge acquired through 5 - 7 years of work experienceFood or Beverage industry experienceWork Environment
