Talascend is currently seeking a Technical Specialist- Interiors for an opportunity in Newark, CA

OVERVIEW :

Design and develop complex mechanism systems and components used in car interiors, including Air-Vents, Storage solutions on Instrument panel and center console, Interior door release handle, sliding roof, Seat rail covers, Sun Visors.

RESPONSIBLITIES :

• Innovate and propose new mechanisms for interior elements to improve functionality and usability of interior space that aligns with client’s design DNA
• Work on the integration of mechanism systems with electrical and electronic components for a seamless user experience.
• Design user interfacing mechanisms meeting best in class haptics requirement
• Be the go-to guy for mechanisms related expertise to help fellow engineers
• Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis on the mechanisms to develop and design the concepts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers, electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists, to ensure smooth integration of interior mechanisms.
• Define product requirements and specifications and develop test plans to ensure product robustness.
• Create prototypes of new interior mechanisms and conduct functional testing to ensure reliability and durability under various conditions.
• Be directly responsible for end-to-end success of the product from concept though production.
• Collaborate with testing teams to evaluate mechanisms for performance, haptics, ergonomics and durability.
• Manage suppliers in the design and production of interior components, ensuring design specifications are met.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving design or production issues
• Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and technological advancements in automotive interior design and mechanism development.
