At ARMI, we rely on IT systems to power the solutions that help people around the world. We are seeking an experienced IT System Engineer who has the technological skills to make us even more efficient. This person will analyze current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of network maintenance and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. The IT Systems Engineer will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our operations and a long-term impact on our overall growth. As an integral part of our team, you will drive efficiency and innovation while safeguarding our digital assets.
Your Role
- Plans, designs, implements, monitors and maintains the Windows servers including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange across multiple domains
- Proficient experience with Azure, Azure AD / Entra ID, O365, and Okta
- Creating and maintaining VM lifecycles in an ESXi and vCenter environment
- Maintaining disaster recovery best practices and testing
- Champion best practices, and stewardship by constantly seeking to improve personal knowledge and company processes
- Participates in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and provides highest level escalation expertise for domain or server issue resolution with affiliated IT team
- Maintaining large capacity network shares of NFS, CIFS, FTP data silos
- Manage complex IT systems within a grant-funded or externally funded environment, ensuring compliance with grant regulations and reporting requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage IT teams, including supervision, performance management, and strategic planning for technical staff
Your Skills and Experiences
BS in Information Technology or related field or equivalent proven working experience in the fieldAt least 3-6 years of Systems Administration experience in an enterprise environment or lead systems roleMCSE / VMware certification strongly preferredExperience with SharePoint, Benchling, AI, and Azure preferredStrong troubleshooting skillsAbility to work concurrently on multiple tasks and projectsExperience with reviewing and analyzing SOC reports from third-party vendors and service providers is preferredExperienced documentation, organizational, and project management skillsExceptional interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skillsExperience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environmentExperience operating in a GxP environment preferredPrior direct / indirect leadership experience preferredHigh energy, commitment, initiative, and perseveranceAbility to work on-site at ARMI 5 days a week
