Medical Assistant in Middletown, CT

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team. You will be responsible for greeting and checking in patients, recording vital signs, and preparing them for examination and treatment. Additionally, you will conduct basic lab tests and ensure accurate documentation of results. You will also educate patients about their conditions and treatments, handle administrative tasks, and assist physicians and nurses in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities :

• Greet and check in patients.
• Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, height, weight, and O2 levels.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
• Conduct basic lab tests and ensure accurate documentation of results.
• Provide instructions on follow-up care and educate patients about their conditions and treatments.
• Update patient medical records and schedule appointments.
• Handle billing and insurance claims.
• Manage supply inventory.
• Assist physicians and nurses with various tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Work Environment :

This position is based in specialty offices, specifically in Neurology. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM. Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, CT. Pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
