About the Unit
Our team is comprised of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Our inpatient pharmacy team collaborates closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication management for hospitalized patients. We oversee the medication storage distribution and management in a variety of settings. We review medication orders for accuracy and potential interactions accurately prepare and dispense medications provide evidence-based drug information monitor drug levels to optimize therapy and educate patients and families about their medications. By prioritizing medication safety and minimizing adverse events we strive to improve patient outcomes and contribute to their overall well-being.

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today the hospital is a 1101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult traumaand Level II pediatric traumadesignations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine with more than 1400 doctors on faculty.
Scope of Work
Provides leadership for all Pharmaceutical activities within the site. Embraces the goals / objectives encompassing Pharmaceutical activities for the Beaumont Health System. Promotes team efforts to manage and achieve departmental / corporate objectives. Ensures that all staff meet / exceed minimum competency standards and encourage / support staff to continue professional development. Demonstrates good judgment and decisiveness throughout daily activities. Maintains knowledge of current Pharmaceutical practice and demonstrates a personal commitment to professional growth. Supports management by providing supervision guidance and support for all assigned areas. Participates in the planning organization and implementation of new programs and activities. Participates in strategies to increase market share reduce cost and improve patient satisfaction.
