Prepress & Production Technician
The position includes working in the prepress department ( for a Printing Company ) as a desktop operator as well as assisting within the production department to pre-plan incoming orders.The ideal candidate has a robust understanding of both Mac and PC computers. They should also possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot various software and hardware issues. Additionally, effective communication skills will be essential for collaborating with team members and assisting clients
Duties and qualifications include :
- Proficiency in preflighting digital files before preparing customer-supplied files for the printing equipment.
- Working knowledge of prepress software, such as Fujifilm XMF, to prepare projects for press.
- Operate Epson color proofing equipment.
- Operate Computer-To-Plate (CTP) equipment such as the AGFA Avalon platesetter to output printing plates for press.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on prepress equipment as needed.
- Perform other prepress and production duties as assigned.
- Full-Time / Day Shift position.
