Audio Visual Support Specialist
Assist University Audio-Visual Department with AV setups and classroom technology incident / service request resolutions.
Candidates must be team-oriented and have flexible scheduling to work for a few hours on some evening and / or weekends for university after-hours events. Most afterhours weekday events will conclude between 5-7 pm and weekend events usually occur on Saturday mornings and last 2-3 hours. Very often you will only need to show up on time and assist with loading a PowerPoint or other media on a room system, most often only needing to stay for about 15 minutes! Although you still get paid for the full hour.
If your class schedule and / or extracurricular activities are already consuming most of your time, then University AV will not be the best job or fit for you.
The Audio-Visual Work-study position is technical however no experience is required! We will train you on everything you need to know to succeed in this job.
Duties include setting up PA speakers, projection equipment, connecting computers, tablets, and other mobile devices to projectors or televisions. Some advanced assignments include Cisco video conference system direct call connections and / or Zoom, Web-ex and Microsoft Teams.
