Perinatal Technician Per Diem

Overview

This position is responsible for assisting in nursing care and preparation of the obstetrical patient through performance of routine and delegated duties according to the standards and policies of the hospital and Perinatal Services Department. Performs scrub duties and related procedures. Provides non-clinical support through management of supply and equipment maintenance. Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

Education / Training / Experience

Currently licensed to practice vocational nursing in California or has successfully completed Operating Room Technician Program or is a Nursing Assistant with surgical instrumentation experience.

Previous operating room experience preferred with demonstrated skills in scrubbing and surgical procedures aseptic technique and standard precautions.

Previous direct patient care experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Licenses / Certifications

Current BLS-HCP

Current NRP preferred

CORT / CST certificate preferred
