The Occupational Therapist will follow the coordinated and developed comprehensive therapeutic recreation program, including assisting patients with developing, maintaining, and expressing an appropriate leisure lifestyle.

Qualifications

Job Requirements :

Licenses or Certifications : Current license as an Occupational Therapist. Must have Arkansas OT certified licensure. Current CPR and Handle with Care certifications (offered onsite).

Total education, vocational training and experience : Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

1. Working knowledge and experience with therapeutic recreation process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

2. Must have the visual acuity to identify, instruct, and evaluate patient’s skills, affect, needs, safety, and progress.

3. Excellent verbal and written skills are required to communicate and interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, hospital staff, and the public.

4. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
