Key Responsibilities
- Learn essential concepts related to drain, waste, vent (DWV), and water systems, including the installation of plumbing fixtures and fittings.
- Build and install comprehensive plumbing systems, demonstrating a solid understanding of various plumbing fittings.
- Adhere to safety standards and quality workmanship consistently.
- Efficiently manage project materials and supplies.
- Acquire knowledge of basic plumbing tools (soldering, cutting, notching) and apply this knowledge within your first month.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site at all times.
- Follow directions and processes from site leadership with care.
- Show enthusiasm in learning the plumbing trade.
- Comply with state trade licensing requirements.
- Build familiarity with Plumbing Code.
- Exhibit reliable attendance and punctuality in line with the work schedule.
Qualifications
Strong motivation and work ethic.Effective verbal communication skills.Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Ability to read, write, and understand safety protocols, operating instructions, and blueprints.Critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems independently.A high school diploma or GED is essential.Valid driver’s license required.Ability to obtain apprentice licensing in your state.Comfortable working in outdoor weather conditions.Capable of handling loud noises and working around mechanical parts, varying heights, and confined spaces.Awareness of potential hazards such as fumes and vibrations.Physically fit for frequent lifting (up to 10 pounds) and occasional lifting of at least 50 pounds.Manual dexterity to perform required tasks safely and effectively.Willingness to travel for out-of-town or out-of-state projects.Schedule : Monday to Friday
