SAP Technical Writer role at Kanak Elite Services – Sacramento, California (Onsite)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Writer to support a large-scale S / 4HANA implementation project. This individual will be an integral member of the project team, working closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation. This role is ideal for professionals with strong SAP documentation experience who thrive in collaborative environments and can translate complex business processes into well-structured technical documents.

Role Details

Role Title : SAP Technical Writer

Duration : 12+ Months

Location : Sacramento, California (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand current business processes.
  • Develop detailed business process documentation, manuals, user guides, training materials, and technical specifications.
  • Create process flow mappings using tools such as Visio, including key steps, decision points, roles, and inputs / outputs.
  • Route documentation for review and approval as needed.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with project objectives, system design, and configuration.
  • Maintain consistency, accuracy, and quality across all deliverables.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of professional technical writing experience in IT or business environments, demonstrating the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation for diverse audiences.
  • Experience on at least one SAP project focused on documenting business processes, with familiarity in SAP environments and terminology.

    • Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of SAP modules within ECC or S / 4HANA environments.
  • Ability to analyze and map complex business processes effectively.
  • Strong writing and editing skills tailored to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with process mapping and document management tools.
  • Proficiency with screenshot and image editing tools for enhanced documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple documentation efforts concurrently.

    • Desired Qualifications

  • Background in SAP, with hands-on experience supporting cross-functional SAP projects.
  • SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate in Finance, Supply Chain, or Business Process Integration).
