Levels :

• Level I Must be able to achieve many objectives of this position. Requires some amount of timely supervision to ensure the proper tasks are being accomplished and that communication is adequate timely in the correct manner (i.e. verbal written email etc.)
• Level II - Consistently achieves all the objectives of this position. This individual also provides mentoring and direct day-to-day supervision to level I positions.
• Senior - Highly experienced in the position. Has advanced skills at laying out and managing others. Has a good understanding of the mechanical and electrical systems in a building and how low-voltage security and special systems integrate to them. Understands basic theory behind building systems operations and can assist in troubleshooting both installation and operation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

Install conduit cabling and low-voltage security devices.

Work closely with Lead Installers and other team members to ensure that installations meet safety standards and client specifications

Pay attention to detail and adhere to timelines

Deliver high-quality construction services that meet or exceed client expectations.

Understand construction practices and follow safety protocols diligently

Use tools and equipment effectively requiring both technical skills and a commitment to safety. Attention to detail is critical as installers must ensure that all materials are installed correctly and meet quality standards

Interpret Climatecs and others drawings to productively install low-voltage security installations.

Support installation personnel on project sites

Assist as required troubleshooting efforts during either the static or dynamic start up or commissioning of low-voltage security and special systems.

Assist in preparing of As-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.

Provide up-to-date As-built information as required including locations for sensors panels database code etc.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications :

Minimum of high school diploma.

2 years experience with Building Automation Systems and / or 2 years of Commercial Electrical installations experience.

An understanding of basic computer operation.

An understanding of the construction industry including safety electrical codes etc.

Clear and concise ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

An ability to understand empathetically the issues and perceptions others have and to creatively and successfully work through these issues to achieve a successful outcome and customer and employee satisfaction.

Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Have a valid driving license.

Preferred Qualifications :

3 years experience with Building Automation Systems and / or 3 years of Commercial Electrical installations experience.

A clear ability to work with electrical equipment such as volt meters amp meters etc.

The ability to troubleshoot basic electric circuitry including reading and interpreting electrical control and special system diagrams.

A working understanding of low and high voltage AC circuitry including transformers fuses breakers multi-phase power etc.

Essential Job Functions :

Be able to lift and carry ladders drawings personal computers material etc.

Be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites.

Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.

Maintain a satisfactory driving record which per Climatecs vehicle policy allows the individual to drive a company vehicle.

Be physically able to kneel stoop and crawl.

This role involves frequent work in outdoor settings mechanical or equipment rooms and potentially extreme weather conditions. Regular exposure includes live voltage moving mechanical parts heavy machinery and wet or humid environments. Work may also involve elevated or precarious locations exposure to airborne particles fumes electrical hazards and vibrations. Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals extreme temperatures (hot or cold) and loud noise levels is to be expected.

Must have accurate color vision and maintain clear visual acuity to safely and effectively perform job responsibilities
