Oral Surgery & Pediatric Dental Assistant (RDA / DA) – Will Train!

Locations : Salinas & Freedom / Watsonville (Travel Required)

Experience : No prior experience required – we are willing to train!

We are a growing Oral Surgery & Pediatric Dentistry practice serving patients in Salinas and Freedom / Watsonville, and we’re looking for a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented dental assistant to join our team!

Your Responsibilities :

Administrative Duties :

Maintain patient records and update charts

Ensure all referrals, X-rays, and treatment plans align before procedures

Pre-Surgical Preparation :

Set up and organize surgical tools and materials

Ensure the operating room is properly prepared for each procedure

Confirm informed consent is signed and explain procedures to patients

Follow strict infection control and sterilization protocols

Surgical & Chairside Assistance :

Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs

Assist the doctor chairside during procedures

Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients

Post-Surgical & Compliance Duties :

Document operative reports, anesthesia records, and billing information

Log and track medications and anesthetics per regulations

Maintain sterilization, temperature, and disinfection logs

Requirements :

RDA or DA license (Oral Surgery experience preferred, but not required)

X-ray license (required)

Strong organizational & time management skills

Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
