Job Summary :
The Southwest Healthcare Regional office is seeking a Full-Time Medical Systems Engineering Tech II , who will be responsible for the evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at Southwest Healthcare facilities and affiliates. Duties include but not limited to :
- Manage various projects within the region.
- Routinely manages the corrective and preventive maintenance of devices as assigned, as well as follow-up communications on work and any other assigned responsibilities.
- Coordinates the ordering of replacement parts and / or service on devices.
- Develops dashboards and components as directed by Southwest Healthcare leadership.
- Ensures replacement parts / services are delivered and ensures accuracy of invoicing.
- Develop, maintain and sustain a 5-year capital plan for devices included in the CMMS database.
- Travels to other sites from primary location as directed / needed
- Assists the leadership team with developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships.
Qualifications
Experience / Training / Experience :
Associate’s degree from an accredited College or University in Computer Science / Information Technology or trade school certificate in information technology required.Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in Computer Science / Information Technology required, Healthcare experience required. 6-8 years expeirence preferred.Certifications / Licenses :
ACI Certification Required (CBET, CRES, CLES or CHTM).Current California Driver's license required.Other Skills and Abilities :
Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission and Title standards and guidelines.Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.Ability to set priorities and appropriately organize workload and complete assignments in a timely manner.Familiarity with basic medical laws and ethics, i.e. consents, confidentiality.Knowledge medical terminology and medical abbreviations.Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.Must have knowledge of PC and applications.Demonstrates a mature and disciplined approach to all work activities utilizing problem-solving skills appropriate for employee’s position.Demonstrates good Interpersonal, Written Communication and Customer Service SkillsDemonstrates good Hardware and Trouble Shooting SkillsDemonstrates ability to track and document support provided and actions to resolve problems.Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Demonstrates ability to lead and apply new skills acquired through mentoring, classroom, and computer-base or self-paced training.This opportunity offers the following :
