Sr / Mid-level Security Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr / Mid-level Security Engineer for a leading technology organization in the Fulton, MD area . The Sr / Mid-level Security Engineer will have a strong background in security monitoring, incident response, and cloud security, with hands-on experience in CSPM tools, vulnerability management, and SIEM platforms. This role is hybrid onsite two days per week in Fulton MD.

Responsibilities for the Sr / Mid-level Security Engineer include :

• Assist with the management and implementation of mission-critical infrastructure
• Analyze environments and recommend improvements to security processes
• Audit environments to ensure compliance and security best practices
• Act as an escalation point for SOC analysts and provide mentorship
• Implement and maintain web application security scanning tools
• Investigate and respond to security incidents
• Pilot and learn new security tools as needed
