Description

The EMT-P is a care giver who functions as a team leader when responding to emergency calls or during emergency calls or during emergency transport. In the care giver role, the EMT- / B-I-P, assumes the responsibility for the emergency treatment and routine transfers of patients. As field leader, the EMT / I-P directs and oversees the care given by their co-workers, other EMS personnel, and bystanders via delegation for highest level of care, coordination, supervision, validation, and evaluation. EMT-B-I perform patient care technician duties in ER within their licensure as directed by RN.

Qualifications

EMT - BASIC

• 21 years or older
• High School education or equivalent
• Completion EMT-B program
• Current Illinois EMT-B license
• Valid Illinois drive's license with good record
