Environmental Associate

Our client, an AM Law 100 law firm, is seeking an experienced associate to join its growing Environmental Law Department. The practice handles the environmental transactional aspects of complex M&A, private equity, financing, capital markets, bankruptcy, and real estate matters.

Ideal candidate will have between 2-4 years of relevant transactional experience at a law firm.  Salary range for this position is $235,000 - $305,000. Actual salary will be determined based on a variety of factors.

Qualifications :

• 2-4 years of law firm experience
• Must have experience performing diligence, negotiating, drafting and advising on varied environmental issues implicated in transactional matters.
• Experience handling environmental regulatory compliance matters, brownfield clean-up and other remedial matters, and matters relating to sustainability, climate change and renewable energy is also preferred.
• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Excellent client-relations skills and a strong work ethic
• Bar admission in New York is required
