ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Table Captain at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will play an active role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and an exceptional dining experience throughout each meal and special event. Working collaboratively with the dining room supervisor and other Dining Room Servers, you will provide hands-on table service while taking a lead role with special event dining service in our community. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates empathy. YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise Servers in the absence of the Dining Room Manager and ensuring overall guest satisfaction

Provide attentive and personalized service to a group of assigned tables in our on-site restaurant, ensuring a positive dining experience

Take accurate orders, answer menu questions, and deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner

Ensure orders are served at the correct temperature, with proper presentation and accuracy

Prepare and set up the dining room for service, ensuring flatware, condiments and beverages are always ready

Works collaboratively with residents and other departments to plan, coordinate and facilitate special dining events and celebrations

Assists the Dining Room Manager with Room Service process

Maintain cleanliness of Dining Room and assigned tables ensuring guest needs are met throughout each meal

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent

Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English

Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

1 year prior Restaurant Server experience with demonstrated knowledge of dining etiquette

Must be able to efficiently multi-task, be an active listener, and collaborate effectively with team members

Demonstrates leadership skills, a willingness to learn and work in a hands-on, hospitality oriented position

Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
