Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a Level I Trauma hospital, requiring a NM or compact RN license and TNCC certification.
Responsibilities
Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma, teaching, and acute care hospitalAssignment duration is 13 weeks with options for 36 or 48 hour shiftsPatient ratios are typically 1 : 5The ED has a high admission rate and includes ED holding areas due to increased admit holdsTravelers are scheduled for weekends as needed, with weekend days on Saturday and Sunday, weekend nights on Friday, Saturday, and SundayFloating to Adult PCUs is expected, while floating to Peds ED or ED Holding / Trauma may occur as neededUses Cerner for chartingDuties include medication administration, IV medications, and thorough documentation of clinical findingsFirst-time travelers will be considered if they have 2+ years of Level I Trauma experienceScrubs must be black and are not providedThere are no on-call requirementsTime off requests longer than 7 days require prior approvalParking is provided at no costThis is a teaching hospital environment with high patient acuityRequirements
Active NM or compact RN license; applicants with a pending license can be consideredCurrent TNCC certification required at the time of considerationCertifications required : ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (NIH may be pending until compliance document is due)Minimum of 2 years RN experience preferred; may review candidates with 1.5 years experienceLevel I Trauma experience and prior travel experience strongly preferredNo locals within a 75 mile radiusCOVID-19 vaccination required unless a medical or religious exemption form is completedBenefits
